The Hypocrisy of the "Hate Has No Home Here" Crowd
They don't care about actual extremists nor New Yorkers
A slew of NYC elected officials and progressive activists are scrambling to rally against Moms for Liberty, a national conservative parent organization hosting an event in the Upper East Side tonight, Jan. 18th.
A coalition of elected officials including Levine, Congressman Jerry Nadler, NY State Senator Liz Krueger, Assemblyman Alex Bores, Assemblywoman Rebecca Seawright, City Councilman Keith Powers, and Councilwoman Julie Menin are holding the rally against Moms for Liberty.
It comes after an unsuccessful bid (more like intimidation campaign) to get the venue, the Bohemian Benevolent & Literary Association, to cancel the Moms for Liberty event. Major props to the Czech and Slovak cultural institution for standing firm against the blue-hairs.
To risk validating the frame of these shrieking progressives for a moment, Moms for Liberty is not an “extremist” organization. They are a chapter-based organization empowering parents to stand up against:
Alphabet Mafia propaganda designed to get kids to mutilate themselves
Pornography masquerading as “sex education” on school library shelves
Authoritarian medical mandates & compulsory experimental vaccines
With the language these people are using, you’d think that actual Nazis were holding a rally in the city. They throw around the usual slogans of “NYC rejects hate” or “Hate has no home here” to show their abject horror that non-leftists have opinions that differ from their own.
After thousands of pro-Palestinian protestors recently protested outside a cancer hospital, electeds like Julie Menin gave a lukewarm condemnation. But, when very scary Moms for Liberty comes to town, they shift into high gear to write Op-Eds and hold rallies.
Councilman Powers and State Senator Krueger were fired up enough to try to block Moms for Liberty because of its “divisive and hateful agenda.”
Progressives want the 1st Amendment on their side to block traffic on bridges and shout at cancer patients, but they want utter silence and compliance from their opponents.
But where’s that same energy for actual extremists holding NYC, its infrastructure, its working class, by the balls? Where’s the concern over the constant prioritization of so-called “migrants,” who matter more than our own children as we saw in the James Madison High School debacle? Where is the outrage against criminals who are shooting New Yorkers on the subway and prowling the streets for their next stabbing victim?
When the progressives — whether electeds or their mindless cronies — chant “hate has no home here,” they don’t mean hate against New Yorkers. They mean they target any hint of disagreement to their own extremist agenda. They create a protected class of people and use them as pawns to bully everyone else into enacting their will.
And if you’re actually effective at launching a counter-reaction to their bullshit, that’s when you become a target, as commentator James Lindsay put it:
“There's no greater proof that Moms for Liberty is an amazing and effective organization that strikes fear into the hearts of the Left like how much Leftist hate they generate all over the place.”
